In December, 2017, so as to enrich the campus cultural life, develop and advance students’ drawing abilities, cultivate their ardent love in geography as well as improve their geographic literacy, Anqing Foreign Language School’s geography Group held the geography drawing competition in arts classes from Grade 10 with the theme of ‘Showcase Our Skills and Elegant Demeanor’. The scope of entries submitted was the world map or the map of China. Students positively participated in the activity. In addition, this exhibition was rich in content with various and abundant forms. Altogether judges selected dozens of fine works of art.
Overall, this marvelous event mobilized students’ enthusiasm and interest in learning geography, improved their capabilities in drawing and map identification, exhibited the superior artistic abilities of some students, cultivated their geographic literacy in addition to accelerating students’ integrated development.
